I am Phalyn Honora, an experimental artist working in Houston, TX with alternative photography, sculpture, and film. I primarily examine the complexity of humanity and identity; analyzing forms of destruction, and the paths to the pursuit of collective liberation within my work. This is informed through the contexts of my experience as a Black, queer woman in America, and I am working to display a decolonized framework within my life and art. I also work to exhibit social sculpture in my practice; considering the nature of community organizing and direct action with a desire to build an ecosocial future.

My work has been featured in group shows at the Blaffer Art Museum, the Eldorado Ballroom, SANMAN Studios, Friends Gallery, and Project Row Houses. Among these, I have also participated in the Summer Studios Artist Residency at Project Row Houses in 2023, and SANMAN Studios' artist-in-residence program in 2025.
